How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My background is in Nursing. Holistic Health has always been my passion and preventing common preventable diseases through lifestyle medicine. This has led me to realize that most of us know what to do- eat less and move more, but we lack the motivation to do it or the influences around us are greater than realization of the impact at a cellular level. Hence, we need coaches in our lives to motivate, inspire and be there for us to assist us in reaching and sustaining our health goals.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Health coaching is in essence life coaching from a nurse. If you don't have your health or optimal health, your quality of life is less and the repercussions are imposed on other people's lives and their health. Get professional coaching services from an advanced practice nurse who supports your whole person, looks at your diet and lifestyle and the environmental influences that are impacting your health. Get holistic health care. As needed and wanted, I will communicate and work with other healthcare providers in a team approach to reach your optimal health. My services may be reimbursable by your health insurance plan as health care reform includes health coaching as a covered benefit. I will also refer to other practitioners as indicated.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One, expansion depends on public demand and interest of other nurses and advanced practice nurses to coach and public interest in Lifestyle Medicine. I am available by Skpe and phone consultations support also.
